Sweating out their own brand of rockin’ country music distilled in the backwoods of Tennessee, Southern Drawl Band has been relentlessly touring the U.S. from coast to coast since it’s beginnings in 2012. Aggressively playing over 200 shows a year to sold out crowds of fiercely loyal fans. “Tirelessly building our grass roots fan base from the ground up is the key to our success” says Mike Nash, frontman and guitarist for the band. “We have been honored to have won several awards for Band of the Year as well as Entertainer of the Year beacuse of the support of our incredible fans who will regularly drive hundreds of miles for our shows and who have spread our message like wild fire”.
During their career Southern Drawl Band has had the priviledge of sharing the stage with many wonderful artists from legends such as Lynyrd Skynrd, Charlie Daniels Band and Jimmy Buffett to classic country artists like Aaron Tippin, Neil McMcoy, and Pure Prarie League right up to modern day stars such as Brantley Gilbert, Blackberry Smoke and Justin Moore. One of the band’s most exciting achievements came in 2012 when the University of Tennessee debuted the video for the band’s rocked up, barn burning version of “Rockytop” on the jumbo-tron at Neyland Stadium to a sold out crowd of over 102,000. The song went on to smash radio charts and is one of the most popular versions in America being played on NBC’s Sunday Night Football for millions of viewers in celebration of Peyton Manning’s record breaking touchdown pass in October of 2014.
Working with Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning producer Travis Wyrick on their first three studio albums and proven hit writer’s such as Thom Shepherd (“Redneck Yacht Club”-Craig Morgan, “Private Malone”-David Ball) and Chris Robbins (“Ride”-Martina McBride) as well as musicians like Andy Wood (Rascal Flatts), Rob Hajacos (Garth Brooks), Thomas Jenkins (Sammy Kershaw) and Doyle Grisham (Jimmy Buffett), the band has won several awards for Album of the Year and Song of the Year as well as several nominations for a variety of awards including placing #50 on Country’s Top 100 of the Year. Their music has been used in television programs on stations such as GAC (Great American Country) and CMT (Country Music Television) and the band is also one of the featured performers in the upcoming Hollywood movie “Parrotheads” set to release in 2016. Southern Drawl Band’s music can be heard on major radio stations all around the country thanks to regular rotation on the Nationally syndicated radio program OutlawNation.com as well as on Sirius XM’s Radio Margaritaville & The Highway. Plans for the band’s first international tour dates are currently being finalized for shows in Mexico, Canada and even a Caribbean cruise in April of 2016 in addition to many of the major music festivals in the U.S.

Southern Drawl Band was formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Mike Nash and drummer Larry Dunsmore in May of 2011. From there, other members Paul Wray (bass), David Crow (lead guitar) and J.D. Edge (fiddle/vocals) have strategically been added to form the group they are today. Since 2012, Southern Drawl Band has generated a national fan base of over 40,000 and is performing at many of the nation’s leading festivals along side some of the biggest names in the business.
