“…Songs that feel wide-open and ambitious, but also giddy and unpredictable.” —NPR “What sets the project apart is the level of their craft and the feeling of travel and discovery in the lyrics and sound.”—LA Weekly “Gut-level, emotive songwriting that hits directly and honestly.”—Pitchfork Critically acclaimed LA-based band Lord Huron are set to support Alt-J on their fall run beginning in September. After their first successful U.K. run, various sold out shows nationwide, and festival appearances at SXSW and Coachella among others, the band will continue to tour throughout the year, including special performances at Bonnaroo, Firefly Festival, and Newport Folk Festival. Of Lord Huron’s live set, Rolling Stone admires their “remarkably full sound” while Filter notes they “keep the energy hopeful and alive.” See below for further details. The band’s debut album Lonesome Dreams (out now on IAMSOUND Records) continues to garner widespread praise—USA Today explains, “the indie-folk band paints a vivid landscape with upbeat, warm melodies and the dreamy vocals,” while The New York Times describes the music as, “pretty, multilayered Americana strumming and harmonizing.” Lord Huron, who made their first network television appearance performing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” was featured in several year end lists, including NPR Music’s “10 Artists You Should Have Known in 2012,” as Esquire called them “the last true New Band You Need to Hear This Year.” The latest video for “Lonesome Dreams” is streaming now at http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2013/04/02/176044635/first-watch-lord-huro n-lonesome-dreams.
