Brothers With Different Mothers
Brothers With Different Mothers was started as a joke. After seeing those words scrawled on a bathroom wall, Dan Waymack, the eldest brother and founder, joke to his friends that it would be a great name for a band. Meanwhile Dan went on running his company Waymack and Crew, a national film and video company, while singing and playing the local Little Rock club scene. When John Jacobs came to work for Dan, they discovered a mutual interest in music and started playing together. At first it truly was a joke, they covered silly songs and substituted nasty lyrics. But with the addition of Drew Pickens and Brian Wolverton, the band really started to gel and people began to realize that the Brothers weren’t just playing around. Now, the Brothers focus on performing fun, high energy tunes, both original and covers. When addressing covers, the Brothers philosophy is “Covering the Uncovered.” They choose eclectic yet high energy tunes by great artists who might not have yet broken into the mainstream.
