Come listen to The Funkanites, THE best jazz band in Arkansas, and support Little Rock native Caleb Olson on his Bike Cruisade from Brooklyn to San Francisco for Street Soccer USA. Caleb serves as program director for the nonprofit which works to end poverty and homelessness through the game of street soccer by coaching and mentoring kids in underserved communities. There are 16 participating cities nationwide; Caleb is stopping in these places to share players’ stories. His cross-country journey brings him home to Little Rock this week. When he rolls into town, he will have logged more than 1,600 miles by bicycle. Caleb will complete the century ride of the Big Dam Bridge 100 Cycling Tour on Saturday morning. You can ride with him; registration is still open. Or head directly to Sticky Fingerz Saturday evening for the Bike Cruisade Fundraiser. Let’s welcome home our local boy doing good and help him raise money for his cause before he hits the road again.
$10 cover with donations accepted or FREE entry when you donate a used bicycle to Recycle Bikes for Kids. Proceeds benefit Street Soccer USA.
